Updated Procedure: Publishing a New View

New Playbook: Calculating a Running Total

This playbook walks a user through calculating a running total using the SoQL editor in the exploration canvas. A running total is the sum total of values associated with the current and previous time periods. A common use case for calculating a running total is to present a backlog over time. The backlog would be the running total of the difference between the number of cases opened less the number closed for a specific time period.

Exporting Data from Stories

support.socrata.com

Users can now download data from any chart or map within a story. Previously, this was only available on table visualizations. This enhancement removes barriers by allowing user to access the data they need. Exports include a date informing users when the data was exported, since the data can change over time.
