Explore Iowa Juvenile Detention Secure Placements

A new way to explore juvenile detention secure placements was made available today. The dataset contains de-identified individual data for youth placed in a juvenile detention center in Iowa. It includes information regarding age, gender, race/ethnicity, placement facility, month and year of release, and offense class and type. Citizens are able to click on any of the charts presented to filter the data. Doing so will filter data presented on other charts. The image below shows the the number of males and females released within a selected timeframe.
