Utility Tax Apportioned

The report Gas and Electric Utility Property Tax Replacement History shows the total gas and electric utility tax payable beginning in Fiscal Year 2001.  It also shows a comparison to each year's General Property Tax Equivalent and reports ten year growth figures.

 

The reports listed below show the replacement excise taxes owed to the various local government tax levying authorities in Iowa. Documents for Fiscal Year 2003 (ending June 30, 2003) and later are available.

Column Descriptions

  • Column A: Is the product of applying the consolidated tax rate to the taxable gas & electric utility valuation.
  • Column B: Replacement excise taxes owed by the utility company prior to any tax credits.
  • Column C: Any prior year tax credits.
  • Column D: Net replacement excise taxes owed by the utility company.
