Learn About the Map

Every address location on Map v6 reflects a status of served, unserved, or underserved. This status is based solely on speed, technology type, or previous incentive provided at the location from prior state or federal incentive programs. Determinations are made based on the best available information concerning service availability as of the date the map was published (April 10, 2025), and reflects (1) service currently available at the location, (2) service that could be provided on a commercially reasonable basis and without significant interruption or delay, and (3) service that has been facilitated at the location through state or federal incentive programs regardless of whether service has actually been facilitated as of the publication date.

LOCATION STATUS - DEFINITIONS

(i) a speed of not less than 100 Mbps for downloads; and (ii) a speed of not less than 20 Mbps for uploads; and (iii) 95 percent of latency measurements during testing windows must fall at or below 100 milliseconds round-trip time.

Unserved

A location identified on the Broadband Availability Map that (a) has no access to broadband service; or (b) lacking access to broadband service offered with (i) a speed of not less than 25 Mbps for downloads; and (ii) a speed of not less than 3 Mbps for uploads; and (iii) latency less than or equal to 100 milliseconds.

Underserved

A location identified on the Broadband Availability Map that is (a) not an unserved location, and (b) lacks access to broadband service offered with (i) a speed of not less than 100 Mbps for downloads; and (ii) a speed of not less than 20 Mbps for uploads; and (iii) latency less than or equal to 100 milliseconds.
