Broadband Availability Map: Version 5 Challenge Process

NOTE: The challenge window is now closed.

OFFICIAL NOTICE: On August 2, 2022, the Office posted the final version of the Broadband Availability Map V5 and opened a 30-day challenge window wherein any person or party aggrieved or adversely affected by mapping determinations could appeal the Office's final determination of whether the ‘likely eligible’ or ‘likely ineligible’ status for a particular address location is accurate.

The Office posted all timely-submitted challenges to the website on October 3, 2022, thereby notifying all affected parties of challenges to address locations that may or may not be within an internet provider’s service area. From the date of such posting, any affected persons or parties had 20 calendar days to submit evidence and information in support of, or in opposition to, such challenge.

Challenges and the Office’s decisions concerning the address location(s) forming the basis of received challenges are located below. Received challenges can be accessed by clicking the link provided in the "Challenge Decision" column. Challenge decisions can be accessed by clicking the link provided in the column labeled "Challenge Decision.”

Final challenge decisions shall become final unless within 30 days of posting the decision, a challenger or an affected person or party that submitted evidence in support of, or in opposition to, the challenge files a request for a contested case proceeding pursuant to rule 129—6.4(8B,17A) and emailed to broadband@iowa.gov. Dates of issuance can be found within each Challenge Decision.
