OFFICIAL NOTICE: The Department of Management, Division of Information Technology (DoIT) has released a DRAFT 2020 State of Iowa Broadband Availability Map for public comment.  The map identifies the locations and availability of broadband service in the State of Iowa, as reported to the Office by Communication Service Providers across the State of Iowa. This DRAFT map is the result of an information gathering process that collected broadband availability data from across the State of Iowa. The Office is holding this public comment period to verify the accuracy of the data reported. Members of the public, including individuals, businesses, and communication service providers are invited to submit comments regarding the accuracy of the data presented on this DRAFT map.

The public comment period is open from September 4, 2020 through September 21, 2020. During the public comment period, individuals, businesses, and Communication Service Providers across Iowa are invited to submit comments to the Office concerning the accuracy of map data. Comments may be submitted by completing the online forms identified at the top of the map linked below. For residents and businesses, please complete the Resident Feedback Form. Communication Service Providers should complete the Provider Feedback Form. The comments received will be incorporated into a revised version of the map that will guide future broadband grant incentive programs to increase broadband availability across the State of Iowa. That final version of the map - State of Iowa Broadband Availability Map Version 3 - will be adopted by the Office and posted to this website later this year to guide future broadband incentive programs to increase broadband availability across the State of Iowa.
